Scott Sedgwick

Owner/Coach

scott@crossfitparabellum.com

An athlete his entire life, Scott found CrossFit in 2007 while working as a Fire Fighter for the Modesto Fire Department. Having been active in fitness his entire life, Scott thought he would give it a try. Seeing immediate improvements in his performance at work, he was instantly hooked. Soon, he was working as a personal trainer and teaching CrossFit classes when he was not at the firehouse. Scott saw a need for a dedicated CrossFit facility in the City of Turlock. In June, 2009 Scott and his wife, ReNee opened CrossFit ParaBellum. Starting in their garage, then moving from facility to facility as the CFPB family grew. Since those humble beginnings, Scott has never lost sight of what motivated him to start teaching CrossFit. A passion for helping people change their lives for the better.

“CrossFit changed our lives so drastically, we could not help but share it with others” Scott says.

ReNee Sedgwick

Owner/Coach

renee@crossfitparabellum.com

Unlike most of our coaches here at CrossFit ParaBellum, Renee has not been a lifelong athlete. This is what makes Renee’s story so compelling. She has undergone an incredible transformation. After struggling with her weight her entire life, Renee found CrossFit in 2008 after her husband, Scott had been using CrossFit for a few months with amazing results. Over the next twelve months, Renee lost over 70lbs. and went from a size 18 to a size 4. Finding her true calling as an athlete and coach, Renee agreed to help Scott open CrossFit ParaBellum in July of 2009. Renee’s unique background not only allows her to connect with athletes of all shapes and sizes, but gives her the ability to guide others through the same transformation. She has been there, and understands the struggles involved. The last 5 years of helping others have given Renee the purpose in life that she had been searching for.

Marie Stucker

Coach

marie@crossfitparabellum.com

Growing up, Marie always loved sports and being active. Her love for sports intensified during high school, where she was a three sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball. This passion continued into college where Marie played volleyball at CSU Stanislaus. While attending Stanislaus, Marie earned her B.A. in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training. After college, Marie taught Physical Education at the Junior High and High School level and coached high school varsity volleyball. That is where she discovered her real passion, coaching and educating others in physical fitness.

After the birth of her first child in 2007, Marie decided to be a stay-at-home mom. This was also the year Marie found CrossFit. She has learned and accomplished so many things that she thought she would never be able to do. Since then, she has not lost that passion for coaching and inspiring others to discover their own personal potential.

Kara Binkley

Coach

kara@crossfitparabellum.com

Kara has always had a passion for fitness. She played multiple sports from childhood through high school. In college her focus became the weight room and her love for the barbell began! When she found CrossFit in 2008, she fell in love with the high intensity and ever changing workouts. There was never a day she didn’t want to go conquer a new skill or set a new personal record. After the birth of her second child, she joined the CrossFit Parabellum family. Then she took it a step farther by becoming a CrossFit Coach in July 2011. There is nothing she loves more than encouraging others to build their strength and self esteem! Kara even continued coaching and working out through her third pregnancy, proving our bodies are capable of accomplishing anything you put your mind to. Kara is a teacher and counselor in both the classroom and gym!

Kara says,“Words can not adequately describe the joy and excitement I feel about teaching others and seeing the light bulb go off when they accomplish a goal! CrossFit Parabellum is a family and a positive place to gain strength, mental happiness and overall health. For me CrossFit isn’t a fitness program, but a way of life and I LOVE it! Whether I’m WODing in my garage with my hubby or in the gym with my best friends, my kids are experiencing health in a real way and to me that’s priceless!”

Kyle Littlekyle bs

From a very young age Kyle has been involved in sports. Playing football, Baseball, and Basketball all through high school. After realizing dreams of playing college football would not happen, Kyle dedicated himself to living a healthy lifestyle. Throughout college Kyle lost about 50 lbs. and knew fitness needed to be in his life forever. Finding crossfit in June of 2013 was just what he had been looking for. After being bored with the same routine of lifting SOME weight, then an hour of cardio day after day. The best part about coaching for Kyle is seeing everyday normal people push themselves, and accomplish things they never imagined they could. “Crossfit Parabellum truly is like a second family, my wife Amanda and I couldn’t be happier to have such amazing ATHLETES in our lives.”
